A popular exhibition in their former home in Chisnalls on Shaws Road, Art with a Heart became the permanent home for the Heritage of the Altrincham Area display in the heart of the town, 82-84 George Street. We have now achieved independent museum status which will allow us to expand our current displays.
We have maps from 1790 and 1876 (which have been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund) and other artefacts and objects.
Items also on display will reflect the current art exhibition, in addition to the items on loan from South Trafford Archaeological Group and the Manchester Transport Museum.
The display is open to the General Public from 10am to 5pm, from Thursday through to Sunday.

‘Attracting approximately 1,500 visitors in the first exhibition of the Heritage of the Altrincham Area in Chisnalls on Shaws Road, we felt that it was time for the community to be able to visit and view the displays at their leisure’
