Michael Barry

Official photographer

Michael is a graduate from Leeds College of Art and is currently working towards a career as a documentary photographer. During his time as a student, he was primarily a sculptor and photographer, working mostly in the medium of the found object and making work about society and mass consumption.

During his degree, Michael has gained experience in setting up and exhibiting in several group exhibitions in locations ranging from museums to abandoned shops, eventually having his final degree show in The Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London.

He is now the official photographer for Art with a Heart but still continues his work as an artist, using found objects that have cultural baggage associated with them and combining them to form narratives and new meanings.
